Blackford Pond Is Beautiful and Relaxing
Near the hill, there is also Blackford Pond, which became one of my favorite parts of the visit.
The pond area looks extremely peaceful and scenic. Ducks, birds, and other wildlife can easily be seen around the water, making the whole atmosphere feel calm and natural. The reflections on the water during evening time looked beautiful, especially with the surrounding trees and greenery.
I noticed many locals simply sitting quietly near the pond, enjoying the peaceful environment. Some people were feeding ducks while others were walking slowly around the paths.
If you enjoy nature photography, peaceful scenery, or relaxing walks, Blackford Pond is definitely worth visiting.
Beautiful Flowers and Natural Walking Paths
One thing I really liked about Blackford Hill was the beautiful natural paths leading through the area. Along many of the walking trails, there were colorful flowers, green bushes, and peaceful forest-like sections that made the experience feel even more special.
The area feels very natural and untouched compared to many busy tourist locations.
Some paths are smooth and easy for casual walking, while others become rocky, narrow, and more challenging as you climb higher.
Because of the greenery and trees, the entire hike feels refreshing and relaxing. It is the kind of place where you can slowly walk, enjoy nature, and completely disconnect from busy city life.
Twice during the hike, I nearly slipped and fell while trying to climb through the difficult areas. At one point, I actually got stuck near thick bushes and became slightly lost while trying to continue the route.

My Hiking Experience at Blackford Hill
My experience at Blackford Hill became much more adventurous than I expected.
There are actually two different types of hiking routes:
- an easier walking route
- a more difficult hiking track
At first, I decided to try the difficult route because it looked more interesting and adventurous. However, I quickly realized I was not properly prepared for it.
I was wearing casual shoes instead of hiking shoes, which became a big mistake once the paths became rougher and steeper. Some sections had bushes, slippery dirt, uneven ground, and narrow trails.
Twice during the hike, I nearly slipped and fell while trying to climb through the difficult areas. At one point, I actually got stuck near thick bushes and became slightly lost while trying to continue the route.
Thankfully, one helpful local person noticed I was struggling and helped guide me back toward a safer path. Otherwise, I honestly might have stayed stuck there for much longer.
Eventually, I decided to return back down instead of continuing further because the route became too difficult without proper equipment.
